Who a Telegram signal copier for MT5 is for
Copying signals by hand takes time, and mistakes creep in when you rush. A copier removes that step, so you can step away from the screen. It makes sense for traders who:
- follow one or more signal channels and miss entries at work or at night,
- copy trades by hand today and worry about wrong lots or stops,
- trade several MT5 accounts and want each one sized by its own rules,
- get signals on Discord or WhatsApp as well as on Telegram.
One rule never changes: we do not sell, provide or pick signals. The copier only reads sources you already subscribe to, so you stay responsible for what it copies.
Where the signals come from
A Telegram signal copier for MT5 can read three kinds of source. Each one works a little differently.
Telegram channels and groups
The copier logs in with your own Telegram account through Telegram’s official API. So it can read any channel or group you follow, even where you are not an admin. A bot could not do this, because only a channel’s admin can add a bot to it. You type the login code yourself during setup, and the session stays on your own machine. Our guide explains how to copy Telegram signals to MT5 step by step.
Discord servers
For Discord to MT5 copying, the copier uses a Discord bot. The bot needs a server where you may add it, such as your own server that follows the provider’s announcement channel. We do not automate personal Discord accounts, since Discord’s terms forbid self-bots.
WhatsApp groups
WhatsApp offers no official API for reading personal groups. Instead, the copier reads a group you belong to through a linked device on your own PC, much like WhatsApp Web. Because this route depends on WhatsApp’s rules, check WhatsApp’s terms before you use it. The WhatsApp Help Center explains how linked devices work, and our guide shows how to copy WhatsApp signals to MT4 and MT5.
How the parser reads a signal
The parser is the heart of a Telegram signal copier for MT5. Every channel writes signals its own way, so we build the parser around yours. First, you send us 20 to 30 real messages from the channel. Then we map every pattern they use. Take this common format:
BUY XAUUSD 2350 SL 2340 TP1 2360 TP2 2370
The parser turns it into a gold buy, split into two positions. Half the lot aims for 2360 and the other half for 2370, with one stop at 2340 for both. It also copes with the usual variations:
- words and symbols such as “Gold buy now” or “XAU/USD”,
- entry zones like “BUY 2350-2345”, placed as a market or limit order by your choice,
- missing stops, where the copier applies your default SL or skips the trade,
- noise such as chart images, market comments and adverts, which it ignores.
Message edits: move SL, close half
Providers often update a trade after they post it. The copier links each reply or edit to the original trade, so follow-ups land on the right position:
- “Move SL to entry” moves the stop to break-even,
- “Close half” closes 50% of the open lots,
- “TP1 hit” can trigger your own rule, such as moving the rest to break-even,
- an edited entry price updates the pending order instead of opening a second one.
When a reply is unclear, the copier logs it and sends you an alert instead of guessing.
Seven copy rules you control
A Telegram signal copier for MT5 should follow your plan, not the channel’s. So you set these rules, and you can change them at any time:
- Lot mode: a fixed lot, or a percent of balance risked to the stop.
- Lot cap: a maximum lot size per trade, whatever the signal says.
- Open trade limit: no new trades once you hold a set number.
- Symbol map: channel names to broker names, such as XAUUSD to XAUUSD.m or US30 to DJ30.
- Trading hours: skip signals outside the hours you choose.
- Price distance: skip an entry when price has already moved too far.
- Signal age: ignore messages older than your limit, for example two minutes.
Before each order, the copier also checks your broker’s lot step and minimum stop distance. If a stop sits too close to price, it alerts you rather than change your numbers. With several channels, each one can carry its own set of rules.
PC or VPS?
Your Telegram signal copier for MT5 needs two things running: the Telegram reader and your MT5 terminal. On a home PC, both work while the PC is on and online. If the PC sleeps, signals pile up in Telegram and may reach the copier late. That is why the signal age rule matters, since it stops stale entries. A VPS keeps both parts running all day, which suits channels that post at night.
Trading on MT4 instead? We pair the reader with an MQL4 EA, and one Telegram login can then serve both platforms.
How we build your Telegram signal copier for MT5
Rules. You share the channel names, a batch of real messages and your copy rules.
Code. Next, we write the reader and the parser, plus an MQL5 EA that places and manages each order.
Backtest on demo. Signals have no price history to replay, so we test in two passes. First, we run your saved messages through the parser and check every result. Then the copier runs live on your demo account while the channel posts.
Deliver. Finally, we install the reader and the EA with you on your PC or VPS, then hand over the files. Our custom EA development process page shows how we schedule each stage.
What you receive
Your delivery includes:
- the reader app for Telegram, plus Discord or WhatsApp if you ordered them,
- the compiled MT5 EA (.ex5), with an .ex4 version for MT4 if needed,
- your parser profile, tuned to the formats your channels use,
- one settings guide for mapping, lots and filters,
- a setup walkthrough on your own machine,
- [X] days of fixes after delivery,
- source code, if you chose that option.
Safe delivery and your privacy
Every Telegram signal copier for MT5 we deliver starts as a trial on demo. The trial build works on your demo account only, with an optional end date. So you watch real channel signals turn into demo trades before you pay the balance. After the final payment, the live version replaces the trial, along with source code if you chose it.
Your Telegram session stays on your machine. We never ask for your Telegram password, and the copier only reads the chats you select.
Telegram signal copier for MT5 pricing
A copier for one Telegram channel with one message format costs $150. Extra channels, Discord or WhatsApp sources and complex edit handling cost more. Once we see your sample messages, you get a fixed quote in USD. The expert advisor development cost page lists typical ranges.
Want to copy your own trades between accounts instead? Our MT5 trade copier development service covers that. For prop firm challenges, a prop firm risk manager EA can add daily loss limits on top. Telegram documents the user API this copier relies on in its official Telegram API docs.
